Feeling lower back pain, or just numb and sore? Perhaps you would like treatment from a chiropractor – this is what Ivie Chen is hoping to achieve by the end of her of study in medical science and chiropractic science at Macquarie University.

Ivie Chen has been a student at Macquarie University studying this course for three years (this is her fourth year). She has learnt a lot about the human body and its functions. The structure of the bones and muscles really do play a huge part of the way the nervous system functions, which in turn affects the functions of the other systems in the body.

In high school, Ivie was hugely interested in science and in particular chemistry. ‘Simply because the teacher I used to have was good’, says Ivie.

Alongside the interest in studying science, Ivie was also aimed for a career path in health, so as to give care healing to people with a medical need. With this passion, Ivie steers on effortlessly in her course.

On April 12th, Ivie had an exam that was worth 45% and so stayed at home. She arrived at university to take the exam at 2pm.
